Keto & Intermittent Fasting For 2 Weeks – Day 7 – Father’s Day

After our night out last night, I wake up feeling a bit dusty to say the least, but it’s Father’s Day and it’s nice to have my partner cook me up a nice hangover breakfast of bacon and eggs, with some smoked salmon.

I’m not really wanting to jump on “Sticky” this morning, as the results could be unpredictable because of the alcohol and food that I consumed last night, but I do anyway.

The 0.5kg (1.1lb) that I was down yesterday, has come back (and then some!). But being the morning and probably dehydrated from drinking, I’m expecting that this will go up even more once I rehydrate.

Never Drinking Again!

….is what I would say if I never intended to drink again, but that’s not the case here. It only seems to take one bad night to undo a really good week of weight loss.

However, I think a more accurate weigh-in will be tomorrow morning. I’m a little worried, but I’ve decided that I will make tomorrow my fast day and try to get to the gym again and this should get me be back on track.

Replenish The Fluids

After my breakfast, I didn’t really eat anything until dinner. But being a bit hungover, I drank a fair bit of water today to replace the fluid I lost from drinking about 10 pints of beer last night.

Doesn’t seem right, does it? The more beer I put down my throat, the more water I need to drink the next day!

I didn’t really record my water intake today, as I usually do, but I’m thinking it would be somewhere in the 3 litre range, which I why I am a bit worried about my weigh-in tomorrow.

A Satisfying Victory..

My son (10) and I played a game of Monopoly in the afternoon and because it was Father’s Day, he wanted to give me an extra $500 for my kitty.

Most people would probably decline the offer in fairness of the game, but not me. I accepted that little orange bank note graciously. I thought it might offend to decline such a kind gesture.

I also wanted to win….

and I did….

Monopoly is not a game you can have a close victory with either. You win by basically demoralizing your opposition until all they own is the clothes on their back. When you get to the point where you have 9 hotels on the board (which I did), it’s only a matter of time before victory is imminent ….. mwahh hahahahaha.

He had enough money to pay me for landing on Trafalgar Square with a hotel once, but not twice…

There’s nothing like teaching your kids how to deal with losing, then by beating them, right?

Roasted

Sunday roast was on the menu for dinner and it was so good, however, I did eat a couple of pieces of sweet potato and a Yorkshire pudding, which will bring my carb count up a bit for the day, but not too much.

It was a nice end to a chilled out Father’s Day. Now time to focus on the coming week ahead.

Day 7 Round Up

This weekend has been a bit of a set back to my weight loss, but it’s not something that happens regularly. We had a good night out and relaxed a bit on the diet.

It’s going to happen from time to time, you need to have night’s like that. Obviously, if it was a regular occurrence then it would be very hard to lose weight long term.

Tomorrow, I need to regain the control that I had last week and get back to where I need to be.
